In Patch 1.2, Sun Haven has been given some necessary additions. You used to only be able to customize the interior of your house, from the amount of space to the color of the walls. Now you can customize the exterior, from the windows and doors to the roof and patio.
When you are playing a life simulation game, half the fun is decorating, customizing, and making your little life individual to you. Pixel Sprout Studios claims they will continue to add more customization options as time goes on. Below you can find the details on how to change the way your Sun Haven home looks.
Unlock The Hardware Store
After updating your game for Patch 1.2, you should get a letter in the mail introducing the Hardware store from Lewis. The Hardware store is located North-East of Sun Haven town, where the pet store is. The store should be beside the cafe.
With stores like the salon and cafe, you needed to rebuild them yourself with materials and money. The Hardware store comes prebuilt and ready for action. You do not need to unlock the store in order to use it.
The customization bought from the Hardware store can only be used for your Sun Haven home. You cannot change the exterior of your Withergate or Nel’Vari home.
You cannot buy a whole theme for the exterior of your house. The Hardware store only sells individual pieces for each theme. For example, for the Slime theme, you will need to individually buy the Slime Windows, Slime Porch, etc.
Each customization set will have a door, window, roof, patio, and walls to purchase separately.
Applying House Customization
You may apply customization the same way that you apply house upgrades. Select the customization piece in your hotbar and then left-click your house. You then must apply each piece separately.
It does not matter what type of house you have, whether it is Tier 2 or Tier 3. These house customization options will show with every house level, so you won’t need a fully upgraded house in order to use these.
When you apply each item, it will be consumed. You cannot get the item back; if you want it, you’ll have to repurchase it.
It may be hard for you to tell if the investment is worth it since the Hardware store doesn’t show you how each theme will look. You have to purchase it and use it to check it out. Because of this, we will show what each theme looks like below.
You can change your house back to the original design by purchasing the Basic house customization set for 400 coins for each piece.
